Benefits Counseling
PDG provides a full range of employment and benefits counseling services. We inform participants of the benefits of working, and about the work incentives for which they may qualify.
These may include:
- Supplemental Security Income [SSI]
- Social Security Disability Insurance [SSDI]
- Medical Insurance
- Heath Benefits
- Employed Individuals with Disabilities [EID]
- Plans for Achieving Self Support [PASS]
- Student Earned Income Exclusions [SEIEs]
- Impairment Related Work Expenses [IRWEs]
- Blind Work Expenses [BWEs]
By increasing the individual’s knowledge of benefits and qualifications, we work collaboratively to improve their ability to make informed choices and to better plan for the future. Increased understanding of benefits and safety nets enable a greater ability to to plan for milestones such as higher education, career reentry, self employment, home ownership and retirement.
