Millersville, Maryland —  PDG is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a grant from the Community Reinvestment and Repair Commission (CRRC) for fiscal year 2027. The grant will support PDG’s efforts to provide housing stabilization and transportation assistance to consumers in Anne Arundel County, helping individuals and families maintain stability and access the resources they need to remain safely housed and connected to their communities.

The grant is specifically designated for Anne Arundel County, and will help address two critical needs that are closely connected to long-term sustainability: safe, stable housing and reliable transportation.

For many individuals and families, an unexpected financial challenge can quickly create a cycle of instability. Rising housing expenses, transportation costs, food prices, utilities, and other everyday necessities are placing increased pressure on household budgets. For consumers already facing financial barriers, even a modest increase in monthly expenses can make it difficult to pay rent, maintain transportation, or consistently access employment, healthcare, and community-based services. As the cost of living across the nation continues to rise, resources like this CRRC grant can make the difference between a temporary financial challenge and the loss of housing. We are grateful to the Community Reinvestment and Repair Commission for investing in the stability and well-being of Anne Arundel County residents.

Through the grant, PDG will be able to provide targeted support to eligible consumers experiencing housing and transportation-related challenges. The investment also reflects the importance of addressing the interconnected nature of housing and transportation constraints, and will allow PDG to provide more impactful and practical assistance to aid in further stability and independence of the community.
