Graceful Goodbyes: PDG Leaves a Lasting Impact
Last month, we announced that we were proud to receive the Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health. It was nice to have PDG recognized as a great place to work for the second year in a row, because we pride ourselves on our great team culture.
However, while we try our hardest to support our staff as much as possible, we also recognize that as a small business, we are often a stepping stone for new entries into the mental health field.
From pursuing further degrees, to opening their own practice, to exploring something new, PDG is always supportive of our team’s dedication to behavioral health and the next steps in their career. Over the past year, we’ve had to say goodbye to a few employees from different parts of our organization. While we are always sad to see a resignation letter cross our desk, we were struck by the amount of positive feedback we received from those who were leaving.
Here are just a few of the nice things our previous employees had to say as they moved forward in their careers:
“I would like to thank you for having me as part of such an inclusive team, and for taking me on as a new clinician… Though I wish that my time with your team could have been for much longer, I do appreciate the time and patience that your team has shown in training me. I have already learned so much, and I know that this skillset will serve me well in my future career.”
“I am grateful for the opportunities that PDG has afforded me. It has been a pleasure working and learning alongside the staff here. I have learned many invaluable skills that I will take with me throughout my social work career.”
“I cannot find the words to express my gratitude for the opportunity to grow within this incredible company. You, and all of the management team have been incredibly supportive, and have again witnessed a difficult year both personally and professionally for me. This company has increased my clinical knowledge and capabilities, expanded my worldview, and taught me more about myself than I could have ever hoped. It is my hope that I continue to grow as much with my next endeavors.”
“It is with significant and equal parts sadness and gratitude that I announce my resignation from PDG Rehab. I can say with complete sincerity that in forty years of working life I’ve never held an employer or a supervisory staff in higher regard… I wish you personally all the best and nothing but good things for this fine company.”
When the sad reality of resignation occurs, PDG is proud of the lasting impact we have had on our employees, and are so grateful for the time, energy and expertise they have given to the clients we serve.
If you live in the greater Baltimore area, want to make a difference in the lives of members of your community, and want a supportive working environment, PDG might be the perfect place for you! Check out our current openings here. We can’t wait to meet you!
