Employee Spotlight: Kendall Ecker, Championing Neurodiversity and Community Care

At PDG, our greatest strength is our people: the passionate, dedicated professionals who make a difference in our communities every day. This month, we’re proud to shine our Employee Spotlight on Kendall Ecker, whose commitment to supporting others embodies the heart of PDG’s mission.

Kendall joined PDG in 2018 and has been an invaluable member of our team ever since. In her role as Program Specialist, she supports our direct care PRP staff as they provide meaningful, person-centered care throughout the Baltimore community. Kendall takes great pride in ensuring our programs run smoothly and effectively, empowering staff to make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.

But Kendall’s dedication to helping others extends beyond her daily work. She’s currently pursuing a Master of Social Work degree with a clinical focus at the University of Maryland,  and is on track to graduate in May 2026. Her studies reflect her deep passion for advancing mental health awareness and improving access to equitable care, particularly for populations that have historically been overlooked.

One area especially close to Kendall’s heart is supporting neurodivergent women, particularly those with ADHD:

“I believe this population has been overlooked and misunderstood in both research and clinical settings,” she shares. “I’m committed to advocating for increased awareness, accurate diagnosis, and supportive care that honors their unique experiences.”

Her advocacy and insight bring a powerful perspective to our team, reminding us that every person’s story deserves to be seen and understood.

When she’s not working or studying, Kendall cherishes time with her husband, John, and their 2-year-old son, Grayson. Together, they love to travel and explore new places, finding inspiration and connection in the world around them. “Learning about different cultures fuels my curiosity and broadens my perspective,” Kendall says, and this value shines through in both her professional and personal life.

We’re so grateful to have Kendall as part of the PDG family. Her compassion, drive, and thoughtful approach make her not only a wonderful colleague but also a true advocate for change in the communities we serve. In Kendall’s words,

“PDG has been transformative to both my personal and professional growth. I’ve been here through my marriage to my husband, having my first child, and now as I prepare to graduate with my MSW this May. I truly couldn’t be more appreciative of the support, mentorship and opportunities I have been given.”

Thank you, Kendall, for all that you do, and congratulations on all your incredible accomplishments! We can’t wait to watch you achieve your future goals!
