Year in Review: 2022

A new year and new opportunities await! As we recover from the pandemic, deal with changing social norms, and explore new behavioral health landscapes, we want to thank everyone in the PDG community for joining us on this journey. Together, we’re making a better Maryland!

Let’s see what PDG accomplished in 2022…

Enhanced Team Support

  • Launched a “sick bank” program that assisted three employees in its first year.
  • Launched new recruitment and retention strategies to secure and maintain highly qualified staff.
  • Launched a 401(k) retirement plan with Fidelity investments.
  • Introduced a new position: Assistant Program Director.
  • Expanded staff events and returned to in-person events like service day volunteering, first annual peeps diorama contest, Laurel’s House of Horrors, and more.
  • Added two new paid holidays for staff: MLK, Jr. Day and Juneteenth.
  • Introduced the flex work schedule and four day work week options.
  • Maintained the student loan reimbursement program, with a 50% increase in employee participation over 2021.

Excellence in Service Delivery

  • Met and successfully continued to navigate the massive financial challenge ignited by Optum Maryland, since its adoption as Maryland’s administrative services organization in January 2020 to process behavioral health public insurance claims. Read the blog post.
  • The in-person Crab Feast returned to Kurtz’s Beach, raising money for critical needs like medical co-pays, food, transportation, and hygiene items.
  • Facilitated the transition to a new Baltimore office space that better meets the needs of staff and consumers.
  • Completed the first full 27-week rotation of the teen DBT-informed program.
  • Launched a new 10-week Anger Management program.
  • Earned another three-year CARF accreditation
  • Since 2019, PDG Therapeutics has seen an annual revenue growth of 46.2%. This year, the program earned a 51.2% growth in revenue over 2021.

Can’t wait to see what 2023 will bring. Happy New Year to the PDG community!
